NPI Services, Inc. hopes you are all having a great National Engineers Week! National Engineers Week is always celebrated the week of February encompassing George Washington’s Birthday. President George Washington is considered the nation’s first engineer, predominantly for his survey work.
National Engineers Week, also known as EWeek, was founded in 1951 by the National Society of Professional Engineers. More than 70 engineering, education, and cultural societies, and more than 50 corporations and government agencies make up this formal coalition. The purpose of National Engineers Week is to increase public awareness concerning the positive contributions made to society from engineers. In addition, Engineers Week promotes the importance of technical education, and encourages the youth in our community to pursue an engineering career to provide a diverse and dynamic engineering workforce for the future.
