From box builds to cable assemblies to parylene conformal coating, Tien’s wide range of experience and technical support is greatly appreciated by NPI’s customer base. Tien began his career as a Quality Engineer at ATK Launch Systems from 2006-2008 where he tested Reusable Solid Rocket Motor (RSRM) and Booster Separation Motor (BSM) programs for NASA. From there he transitioned over to Northrop Grumman as a Test Engineer for the Joint Strike Fighter and Forward Looking Infrared Imaging program. Some of his responsibilities included testing the rate sensor system that went into the Electro-Optical Distributed Aperture System for the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) program. Tien graduated in 2005 with a BS in Electrical Engineering from Cal State Fullerton.

Robbie Robinson, Test Engineer/Quality Engineer Robbie has over 40 years of test engineering experience that began in the Army and continues today. When an aerospace client presents a Vietnam era subsystem that needs replacement Robbie gets excited to study the classic analog schematic. He can debug anything and is quick to reference technical journals and has a thorough understanding of IPC specifications. He can be found hard at work in the NPI test lab supporting NPI’s customers with functional test, power-up test, PCBA failure analysis, box builds, and system integration. As a pioneer in the telecommunications industry working for Ericsson and ADC, he actively participated in the evolution of quality and just-in-time conveyor manufacturing systems. Over his career Robbie has participated in many ISO 9001 and AS9100 certification audits. Robbie has been an Amateur Radio Operator for over 30 years. He holds an A.A. degree in Engineering Technology and a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of La Verne.
